All 20 Premier League clubs say there's No Room for Racism

Published by

The English Premier League has released a new video featuring all 20 clubs in the division to clarify its stance on racism and encourage supporters to report abuse.

The latest phase of the No Room For Racism campaign will be visible at all Premier League matches from tomorrow until Sunday 27 October, emphasising that racist conduct is not tolerated and urging supporters to take action – ‘If you see it, report it.’

The film comes after England's European qualifier against Bulgaria had to be stopped twice on Monday night as sections of the latter's fans were openly abusing England's black payers.

Since the incident four arrests have been made and UEFA is under increasing pressure to kick the behaviour out of the game with more force and intent than the governing body has previously shown.

As well as work at clubs and inside football stadiums, football is putting pressure on social media companies to tackle the issue of racism on their platforms. The Premier League is also working with its BAME Participants’ Advisory Group to ensure the views of BAME players and coaches are heard and to help inform ongoing work.
