Nadya Powell is joining the creative agency Sunshine, in the newly created role of Managing Director. She is expected to join from DigitasLBi agency Lost Boys in August. Sunshine has grown significantly since it was conceived of two and a half years ago. Its strength is in giving brands a place and purpose in popular culture across a breadth of media: from traditional and digital, to content and experiential marketing. It has grown to 50 full-time staff and attracted great talent and clients including: Baileys, Diageo, Google, Nike Foundation and Skype. Nadya will report to the three owner partners – Kit Hawkins, Al MacCuish and Gideon Simeloff. Powell is well recognised for her many achievements. For the past two years she has been in the BIMA Hot 100 which celebrates the biggest names in digital; was in the top 10 Most Influential people in social media marketing in the UK as part of The Drum’s Social Buzz countdown; and was named as one of The Hospital Club H100.

Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Chief Creative Officer Tham Khai Meng announced this week the appointment of OgilvyOne EAME Joint Chief Creative Officers Emma de la Fosse and Charlie Wilson to O&M's Worldwide Creative Council. The award winning husband and wife creative team was behind the British Airways “Magic of Flying” campaign, which garnered multiple wins at the 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. It bagged 8 Lions and a Grand Prix and was quickly dubbed “The future of billboard advertising” by the press and jurors.

M&C Saatchi Melbourne

David Dahan, Ogilvy’s Global Managing Partner on the groundbreaking Dove Worldwide account, has been appointed Managing Director of M&C Saatchi Melbourne. Prior to his time at Ogilvy in London, Dahan spent five years with BBDO in Singapore in various strategic and account leadership positions and five years at Lowe in Paris, working on a suite of iconic and award winning brands, including: Mercedes-Benz, Tiger, MTV, Dulux, Johnson & Johnson, Aviva, Toyota, Dirt is Good and Hellmann's.

San Francisco-based creative agency Eleven, has appointed Gary Stein as Group Director of Marketplace Insights, and Monique Verrier as Director of Creative Services. Both are newly created positions. In his new role, Gary will focus on expanding the agency's abilities to connect to consumers throughout their journey. Gary will report to Alison Fowler, Eleven’s Chief Activation Officer. Prior to joining Eleven, he was the SVP of Strategy at Sterling Brands and served in strategy and management positions at Isobar and iCrossing. In her new role, Monique will act as an advocate for Eleven’s creative teams, overseeing professional development, leading recruiting and resourcing efforts and providing mentorship for young creative leaders. She will report to Mike McKay, Eleven’s Chief Creative Officer. She previously managed creative departments at Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.

Creative agency Partners + Napier NYC has appointed Ted Florea as its first chief strategy officer. In this role, Florea, who formerly served as head of brand strategy at Droga5, will be responsible for the strategic leadership of all existing PNYC business, which includes the Outdoor Advertising Association of America and ShopKeep. Florea served as a freelance brand strategy consultant prior to joining PNYC. Before that, he spent three years as head of brand strategy at Droga5. Throughout his career, he has worked with clients including Toyota, Kraft, and Netflix. For the past six months, he has served as a brand strategy consultant for the agency.

Wunderman UK has hired Lauren Pleydell-Pearce as Creative Director. Pleydell-Pearce, the former Design Director at Fabric, will work across the agency’s range of clients. She will also assist on content, digital and social projects. She worked at Fabric for over four years. Whilst there, she was part of the team behind KFC's “It doesn’t count if” social media campaign, which won a slew of awards, including a British Arrows Gold in 2013. Before Fabric she was a Senior Designer at Razorfish working on clients such as NSPCC, Oxfam, SABMiller, Samsonite, Unilever and Audi.

DLKW Lowe has appointed Anna Vogt to the newly created role of Head of Planning. Previously Strategy Director and Partner at BBH London, Anna is a highly regarded planner with a strong track record in digital product and service innovation and a portfolio that has been creatively, commercially and culturally awarded. The appointment comes as DLKW Lowe continues to build on its growth and integrated account successes. Anna will report into Charlie Snow, Chief Strategy Officer. The appointment is effective immediately. She joins from BBH where she was a Strategy Director on flagship accounts British Airways and Clarks as well as Boden and Tele2.

Cheil UK has announced the appointment of Catherine Davis as its new chief growth officer for UK and Europe. Davis joins the agency from Grey London, where she was chief marketing officer. In her time at Grey London, Davis became known as the agency’s most successful new business and marketing director, winning an incredible 64 accounts since joining in 2009. Prior to Grey, Davis was marketing and PR director at CHINA NOW. Her CV also includes time at RKCR/Y&R, Burkitt DDB, Leo Burnett and TBWA. In her new role, Davis will be responsible for driving business growth across Europe with a specific focus on the UK market. She will report directly into Cheil UK’s COO Matt Pye.
