Publicis London has hired Grey’s multi-award winning deputy executive creative director Dave Monk as its new ECD. He will bring a creative force and internationally recognised talent to the agency that will play a key role in its ongoing evolution. Dave will partner with Karen Buchanan, CEO of Publicis London, strengthening the Publicis London management Monk’s focus will be on leading and further building the agency’s 50-strong creative department and the quality of its creative output. He will oversee innovation and depth of engagement on a roster of Publicis London clients. Monk will replace Andy Bird who is currently overseeing Publicis London and Publicis New York’s key and global accounts in an interim dual ECD role. Bird will now transition over to take the permanent role of CCO at Publicis New York.

MEC has extended job offers to 10 lucky entry level candidates who participated in its first-ever Live Hire on opening day of the premier gathering of marketing and communications leaders at Advertising Week in New York this week. Congratulations to: Deena Baig, Caitlyn Carpentier, Jordan Cohen, Nicole Dalessandro, Jeffrey Denney, David Miller, Conor Mitchell, Praise Odigie, Geomar Sanchez, Ndish Tulsiani. MEC Live Hire, a first of its kind recruitment event, brought together new and upcoming graduates from across the US to meet live in Times Square with a team of cross-functional executives, including Global CEO Charles Courtier and North America CEO Marla Kaplowitz, for a new-type of behavioural hiring experience. Sixteen candidates interviewed with four MEC executives in the span of two hours. MEC evaluated candidates against key tenants of the agency’s culture, resulting in same-day offers to Associates in Digital, Planning, and Analytics & Insight.

Droga5 has announced the addition of three senior creatives and three account leads to its New York headquarters. Don Shelford, Nick Klinkert and Justin Ebert joined the agency as Group Creative Directors, while Blake Crosbie, Agnes Fischer and Melissa Nelson joined as Group Account Directors. Shelford joins Droga5 after four years at Wieden+Kennedy Portland, he will be working on the Chase Consumer Bank, Mortgage and Automobile accounts. Klinkert who has worked at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, BBDO and BBH, will work on Air Wick and LVMH. Ebert joins Droga5 after nearly a year of freelancing, he will lead creative on Motorola and NRG Energy. Crosbie leads the agency’s Scion account and hails from TBWA\Chiat\Day New York and Los Angeles. Fischer’s previous role was at Anomaly, and she now heads Chase’s Consumer Bank, Mortgage and Automobile accounts. Finally, Nelson comes from 72andSunny’s Los Angeles headquarters, and she now leads Droga5’s Motorola and NBTY accounts.

In this role she will work closely with Sarah Todd, UK CEO, to deliver against the vision of the agency and ensure the creative and strategic product continues to innovate and drive purchase for its clients. Debbie was formerly UK Head of Digital Delivery. Ellison has led multiple award-winning digital and transformational campaigns for Triumph Essence, Bacardi Wetherspoon, 3M, Pfizer, GSK and BMS/AZ.

Piotr Osiński and Patrycja Lukjanow have been promoted at Saatchi & Saatchi Group Poland, and will be responsible for the total GSK Consumer Healthcare business in Poland, Central Europe and global digital. They will also creatively lead Saatchi & Saatchi Group Poland’s digital cooperation with other partnering Saatchi & Saatchi offices focusing on Saatchi Dubai and Saatchi Singapore.

Leo Burnett Chicago has appointed Josh Crick as senior vice president, managing director of digital integration. In this newly created role, Crick will be responsible for driving agency growth through the integration and commercialisation of Leo Burnett’s expanding digital capabilities, including the recently announced quick-turn, high quality content creation offering, Greenhouse. He will also help innovate new services to meet the needs of potential and existing clients. Crick will report to Vincent Geraghty, executive vice president, executive director of production. Crick joins Leo Burnett Chicago from David and Goliath in Los Angeles where he led the agency’s digital practice throughout the past three years. He also worked on the new-business team, helping them with notable wins such as Zico, LG Mobile and Jack in the Box.

Creative marketing agency EVB has announced the promotion of Group Account Director Steve Barry to the newly created position of managing director, and Creative Director Troy Burrows to executive creative director. Barry oversees some of the agency’s largest national accounts, including SunChips and Kraft (Maxwell House, Gevalia, Tassimo and MiO). He joined EVB as an account director in early 2014 and was promoted to group account director in October of 2014. Burrows joined EVB in spring of 2014, and his work has spanned both the Boulder and Oakland offices. He’s been key to a number of EVB’s new business wins, including Jameson Irish Whiskey, SunChips, Ebates, Hipmunk and Hot Wheels, and has touched every piece of agency business. Burrows is replacing EVB Partner/ECD Steve Babcock, who left the agency to pursue other opportunities.

Solve has hired Drew Hack as Account Director. Hack’s pedigree comes from leading iconic brands including Harley-Davidson, Nike and Nestlé. The agency’s rapid growth has fuelled its ongoing hiring trend. So far this year, Solve has added Président, Galbani and Black Diamond, three leading, premium cheese brands from Lactalis Group, Shopko Stores, Green Giant, LeMond – Greg LeMond’s new cycling and fitness company, Founders Brewing of Grand Rapids, MI and a project from PepsiCo.

Impero hired three key members of staff this week on the back of their recent win of Beefeater Gin’s social and digital account. Alexandra Trevor has joined as client partner from the agency’s client, Pernod Ricard, to manage key accounts. Her experience in digital marketing spans both client-side and agency-based roles. Trevor’s agency career began with McCann/MRM in Sydney and New York. She also worked at AKQA New York, where she managed the global digital Smirnoff account, before moving to The Barbarian Group to work on major digital projects.

Impero hired three key members of staff this week

Impero has also hired Lauren McGregor and Jey Bernal. McGregor joins as senior account manager from We Are Social. At Impero she will take control of Beefeater Gin, Campo Viejo and Lindt chocolate, as well as the agency’s marketing. Bernal will take on the role lead social creative. Previously a social media creative at M&C Saatchi, she was the ‘Queen of Social’ at Lean Mean Fighting Machine prior to their merger in 2014.

TMW Unlimited

TMW Unlimited have appointed Graeme Noble as its new chief creative officer. Noble, who was previously the executive creative director at the agency, will replace Gareth James, who left in August. In his new role Noble will use his 15 years of experience to take responsibility for re-shaping the agency’s creative department of 50 staff and building on the success of recent digital and social campaigns for brands including Durex, Lynx and Virgin Trains.

He previously worked at TMW Unlimited before joining Kitcatt Nohr as digital creative director. He returned to TMW Unlimited in 2009 and has since won Cannes Lions awards for his work on the Guinness account as well as an award at the DMAs for work with Lynx, Smirnoff and WWF. Discussing his new position, Noble said: “I'll work to shape the TMW creative department to be fleet of foot, recognising the need for fast proactive thinking, innovative content that has real craft, and, of course, a more traditional approach creating well thought out and beautifully executed strategic campaigns.”
