Isobel has announced the promotion of John Hobson, head of content and Bridget Fitzpatrick, head of new business to the Isobel Board of Directors. They join founding partners Paul Houlding, Steve Hastings, Rob Fletcher and David Alexander alongside finance director, Sue Laing and head of account management Jamie Williams. The promotions are part of an aggressive growth strategy by the agency as it moves to a broader content and advertising delivery.

Hobson joined Isobel as head of content via CHI/The & Partnership where he led Virgin Money and Hive. His impact has been quickly felt at Isobel - implementing cross platform content for a number of key clients including the soon to be relaunched Danepak. Fitzpatrick, a native New Yorker, joined Isobel from Grey - where she had worked for 10 years in both the London and New York offices. Since joining Isobel in 2014 as head of new business she has been instrumental in winning a number of new clients. Isobel managing partner Paul Houlding said: “We have invested in some seriously good talent with different skill sets and these promotions are nothing more than they deserve.”

Isobar is ramping up its client services team, appointing two new business directors following a hugely successful run of new business, bringing in nine new clients in the last seven months. Vinod Subramanian joins from Wunderman where he was the global team lead on Microsoft Mobile. He was also managing Novartis OTC and Unilever accounts. Ian Maybank is appointed as Business Lead for Kellogg’s joining from Grey London where he worked on key clients such as Vodafone, Mcvitie’s and GSK. He will lead the Kellogg’s Business where the agency works closely with Carat and iProspect to deliver Kellogg’s digital communications across 60 markets in EMEA. Both will report into Jon Boardman, Managing Director, who joined at the beginning of last year.

Alongside the two important hires the agency has also promoted Blake Cuthbert to Client Partner who will now manage the output of client services. These three roles further strengthen Isobar’s account handling abilities, and allow room for growth as the agency enters the final quarter of 2015 with an exciting set of new clients. MPC Los Angeles announced the new hires of five industry-leading artists to its Advertising 3D division this week. Steward Burris joins as Head of Animation, Zach Tucker as VFX Supervisor, George Saavedra as Rigging Lead, Brian Broussard as Texture and Look Development Supervisor and Matthew Maude as Head of Lighting. In addition, Charles Trippe has been promoted to Head of FX after two years on staff as FX TD. The 3D team reports directly to Head of 3D Jason Schugardt, a veteran VFX supervisor who joined the Los Angeles studio in March. This team of new 3D artists joins current senior artists Michael Wynd, Senior VFX Supervisor, Timothy Kafka, Lead Lighter and Corinne DeOrsay, 3D Lighter.

Johannes Leonardo has announced the appointment of Andrew Dawson as chief strategy officer. In this role, Dawson will lead and continue to evolve the agency’s strategy offering, working across Johannes Leonardo’s roster of clients that include Adidas Originals, Google, Mondelēz International, TripAdvisor, Coca-Cola and The Bezos Family Foundation. He is also charged with helping to develop the agency’s brand, business and culture. Prior to joining Johannes Leonardo, Dawson was co-founder of luxury audio company Master & Dynamic. Earlier in his career, Dawson spent time in the agency world in planning roles at well-known agencies including R/GA McCann Erikson and Draftfcb. Dawson’s appointment is the latest hire in Johannes Leonardo’s effort to build a holistic management team of varying skill sets.

Y&R New York is announcing three key new additions to its creative team. Effective immediately, Christian Carl is Global Executive Creative Director overseeing Dell; Hamish McArthur is Head of Design; and Greg Lotus is Executive Director of Integrated Production.  All three report into Y&R New York Chief Creative Officer Leslie Sims. Responsible for setting the design vision for the agency, Hamish McArthur oversees a team of designers and works across the agency’s clients, including Campbell’s, Dell, Hillshire Brands, Pepperidge Farms, the U.S. Navy and Xerox. As Executive Director of Integrated Production, Greg Lotus will oversee production across all clients at Y&R New York. A pioneer of integrated production, Lotus has an impressive track record of producing award-winning work for global brands, including MasterCard, Sony, Nikon, Verizon and General Mills. Finally, as Global Executive Creative Director, Christian Carl will mainly devote his talents to Dell, and will also contribute to business development efforts for the agency.  Carl comes to Y&R from Havas New York, where he served as Executive Creative Director.

STW’s brand agency Cornwell has announced two senior hires. Quan Payne joins the agency as executive creative director, tasked with overseeing the agency’s creative offer across all clients, both national and international, while further building its creative team and providing valuable mentoring. Also joining Cornwell’s senior ranks is Alissa Byrne as account director – the agency’s first Sydney appointment. Payne has diverse background across brand and design, most recently as Creative Director for Laird + Partners in New York. He has also worked as Nike Global art director – London Olympics and design director of Frost Design/Woolworths South Africa, with experience in creative and art direction on some of the world’s most recognised. Payne has been specifically appointed to lead the business into a new era of brand and design. Byrne, meanwhile, marks Cornwell’s first appointment to its Sydney office, bringing more than 10 years of experience across brand and advertising communications.

Barton F. Graf 9000 announced this week that Roger Bova has joined the agency as Head of Design, effective immediately. He will report directly to Founder and Chief Creative Officer Gerry Graf, working across all accounts. Bova joins Barton from Anomaly, where he was Design Director working on Budweiser, Diageo, and a variety of innovation projects. He began his career as Art Director at Plexifilm, an independent DVD label with a focus on music, art and foreign films.

Bova opened his own studio, Roger&Co, in 2007, and worked with a variety of unique clients, design firms and ad agencies, some of which included Arnell Group, Rockstar Games, Abrams Books, and A Public Space literary magazine. International creative agency DDB & Tribal Worldwide Amsterdam announced expansion of creative and production teams with eight new hires this week. In the light of new high profile client wins, the agency invigorates its expertise with additions in the UX, production and design departments. Joining the agency’s production team are Erin Zito (Executive Producer), Boy Sheikkariem (Senior Producer) and Sabine Verlinden (Producer). In their roles they will be working with clients such as TomTom, McDonalds, Adidas and KLM. The design department expands with Esmee Lechner (Designer), Joris Groot (UX Designer), Kaj-Khan Hrynczenko (Junior UX Designer) and Max Hopmans (Junior Designer).
