Facebook confirms testing of downvote button

Facebook will now allow users to downvote comments to eventually hide them. The social media giant is testing the ‘down-vote’ button, making it first available for a small set of users and possibly bringing us closer to the ‘dislike’ button that users have demanded for years. Select Facebook users noticed the new option appearing underneath comments on posts, next to the ‘like’ and ‘reply’ buttons last week.
