Spinnaker appointed as digital agency for iNTERTAIN

Following a four stage pitch process Spinnaker has been appointed by iNTERTAIN, one of the UK’s leading high street hospitality companies, operating 35 bars and comedy venues nationwide.  Spinnaker will be originating and implementing a new digital strategy for the company’s Walkabout chain of Australian-themed bars.  The bars specialise in offering food, sport, live music and late night partying.

The key audience for Walkabout is the young and digitally-savvy demographic of 18-35 year olds and Walkabout will be working with Spinnaker to ensure that they are engaging with their audience across all digital channels.  Strategies will include both evolution and revolution of Walkabout’s website, social media, email, search and mobile activities. Spinnaker’s remit will also include the development of a new CRM programme with the creation of a single customer view database. Spinnaker will work with CRM software provider Alchemetrics to deliver this solution.   Spinnaker is to devise and deliver a new three-year digital plan, kicking off with a new website launch at the end of October 2013, ahead of the busy Christmas period.

Commencing in 2010, Walkabout has carried out the complete refurbishment of 13 of its venues, creating hundreds of jobs. The Spinnaker appointment comes as Walkabout plans further investment that will see more refurbishments over the next two to three years, and in due course, the acquisition of new Walkabout venues.
