Ogilvy & Mather named Global Network of the Year at this year's annual One Show Awards

At the 41st annual One Show Awards last Friday night, Ogilvy & Mather was awarded the coveted 'Network of the Year' award. The agency claimed the award thanks to its outstanding work across all disciplines of the advertising world across all areas of the globe on behalf of its clients. This is the latest in a long line of prestigious awards won by Ogilvy & Mather, which is one of the world's largest advertising,marketing, public relations and communications companies. It was named as Network of the Year at the Cannes Lions and the World's Most Effective Agency at the EFFIEs in both 2012 and 2013.

Tham Khai Meng, the worldwide chief creative officer at Ogilvy & Mather, said that his agency were “Honoured to receive the award,” which he feels can be credited to the agency and its clients' “Persistent dedication to Pervasive Creativity across the world.” He thanked his “Talented and brave group,” underlining his belief that being named the One Show Network of the Year “Is all down to the extraordinary work Ogilvy & Mather's employees and clients produce together.”

The year's One Show awards produced a grand total of 374 winners from a pool of over 21,000 submissions, which came from 63 different countries. Ogilvy & Mather took home 67 of the total 374 Gold, Silver and Bronze 'Pencils' awarded, which gave the agency a grand total of 1,450 points (including Merit awards), enough to net them the Network of the Year title.

This year the ceremony was hosted by celebrated actor, Alec Baldwin

The One Show is produced by The One Club, the world's foremost non-profit organisation for the recognition and promotion of excellence in advertising. The show aims to venerate and celebrate the very best is advertising, design, interactive, branded entertainment and intellectual property and products.
