McCann Erickson New York gains an executive account director in Devin Reiter

Published by

It was announced last week that Devin Reiter is to join the flagship McCann Erickson shop in New York, where he will serve as an executive account director. Reiter joins McCann from Crispin, Porter & Bogusky in Boulder, Colorado, where he has been working as a group account director for four years. The appointment is a return to McCann for Reiter, who first joined the agency in 2004. His responsibilities included the agency's Verizon account, which he led with an integrated team comprised of 12 McCann World Group agencies.

McCann Erickson New York president Christ Macdonald is delighted to welcome Reiter to the team, and praises the Pennsylvania State educated ad man for his “Outstanding track record of delivering great work for complex client businesses.” Macdonald believes that Reiter was “Always one of the stars of the agency” back when he initially worked for McCann, and they are “Very happy to welcome him home.” Reiter himself says it is “A great time to be returning to McCann,” as there is currently a “Contagious feeling of energy and momentum, both within the New York agency and around the McCann network."

In his time at Crispin, Porter & Bogusky, Reiter was responsible for incredibly high profile accounts such as American Express and Microsoft, as well as new business development. For American Express he worked heavily on the OpenForum.com initiative and the Small Business Saturday program, and for Microsoft he was instrumental in launches for Windows Phone and social initiatives for Bing, Microsoft's search engine. His career began 15 years ago at Hill Holliday and AKA Advertising and whilst his experience has primarily been in tech, finance and telecommunications, he's also had a wealth of experience working with sports and restaurant brands.

Effective immediately, Reiter will oversee a wide range of clients at McCann, including the agency's United States Postal Service account, which it gained last year after it stole the creative reigns from a fellow Interpublic Group agency, Draftfcb.
