Grey Africa to launch design studio

Grey Africa has expanded its “Open and long, famously effective” service offering with the development of its specialist branding development unit Grey Design. The design division is integrated within the current Grey Africa structures and focuses on helping both existing and new client business to grow and expand. Grey Design, centred on its team’s unique ability to combine empathy, creativity and rationality to meet consumer’s needs and to drive business success for our clients.

Grey Africa group managing director Paul Jackson, said: “Grey has always had an exceptionally strong design competency and due to its growing stature and increasing assignments in this specialised space, along with the recent affirmation of Grey’s recent Cannes Grand Prix in the Design category, we decided it was time to bring into being the dedicated design unit.”

Leading Grey Design will be Kean Hartnady, graphic design head, who said of the unit: “It has a dedicated staff complement of talented design specialists who, together, have a combined total of more than a 100 years of design experience. The design team has already distinguished itself having worked across various industries, ranging from finance, beverages, packaging, travel, politics, technology to fast moving consumer goods and across almost every design discipline imaginable. Our interdisciplinary design service integrates with the other specialist Grey teams throughout the innovation process, providing a comprehensive service offering including Research Driven Insights, Brand Strategy, encompassing Brand Purpose Discovery, Brand Architecture and Brand Positioning to Brand Identity Development, Brand Experience, Design and Digital Branding amongst others.”
