Bloody Creative Art Director Creates Agency-Inspired Bloody Marys to Land Gig

Published by

Jessica Stahl is an upcoming and undeniably enterprising Art Director who left her agency job in New York, moved across the pond to Amsterdam and is now turning heads in the European ad industry thanks to her dynamic new portfolio campaign. The wonderfully named “Bloody Creative” project simultaneously pays homage to Jessica's favourite hangover drink, The Bloody Mary, and also acts as an homage to a host of revered advertising agencies. She does this by presenting the drink in the distinct branding style of a particular agency and showcasing them in video, print and also in a physical pop-up bar experience, which can be ordered on request via the project's website. The agencies she's has a crack at thus far can be found in all their bloody great glory below:-

72andSunny (“7AM and Sunny)

A bloody mary featuring bright, tropical flavours brings a little taste of LA sunshine to Amsterdam.

Anomaly (“Anomalry”)

*

What do you get when you put anomaly and bloody mary together? A smoky bloody mary that defies norms and challenges perceptions.

Wieden+Kennedy (“Eyes Wide Open”)

*

A verde mary so fresh it will have you fit in no time.

Super Heroes (“Hangover Hero”)

*

A bloody mary on a mission to destroy your hangover and rescue your creativity.

180 (“From 0 to 180”)

*

Bold flavours with an Indonesian twist creates a bloody mary without frontiers.

Jessica herself, said of the project: “The goal of this project is to provide something of value to agencies and creative directors, while at the same time showing off my talent, and ultimately, get hired". On her site, she says you can request a tasting, especially if you're a hiring manager considering her for a position and want to have a chat about the concept and any potential art directing roles in Amsterdam.”

I think it's bloody brilliant (pardon the pun) and if Jessica can't land a job after this inspired effort then there really is no hope for any of us!
