End of the roll - Rebecca Ward's amazing ways with cello-tape

Published by

Who say's that jaw-dropping art has to be complicated in terms of it's materials?

Rebecca Ward is a Texas-born, Brooklyn-based artist with a love of tape, yards and yards of it in all it's multicoloured glory, spun all over columns, walls and floors in any art gallery which isn't too precious about it's paintwork.

Those of you who have trouble finding the end of the roll or who battle with tape in general, ending up with a tightly wound sticky curl will appreciate Rebecca's patience all the more. Just how she accomplishes such perfectly parallel lines of tape is a wonder to behold beyond the delicate web-slike structures themselves.

Rebecca is a relatively new artist, having only graduated with a masters in Fine Art last year.
