Celebrate 15 years of INSA at the D&AD Festival 2019

Published by

D&AD and Shutterstock unveiled a colourful mural at the entrance of the D&AD Festival to celebrate 15 years of influential artist INSA’s body of work.

File under 'Unresolved' can be found in Ely's Yard on the exterior of the Old Truman Brewery and will be visible for those attending the design and advertising festival, taking place this week.

The ‘GIF-ITI’ mural, based on gif media, represents the increased distraction we face daily in the modern world and poses the questions: ‘How are we spending our time?’, ‘Are we over-relying on technology?’, and ‘Are we in pursuit of unnecessary perfection?’

INSA's hope is that we consider how we will feel about ourselves, our work and creative careers long before our 'absolutely last final revision'.

Originally famous for his Graffiti Fetish artwork that focuses on issues of modern aspirations, INSA’s visual motifs confront the fetishisation of products in modern society and the commodification of success and ambition.

To see the work come to life, search 'GIF-ITI' on the app store for 'INSA's GIF-ITI Viewer' and hold your phone over the mural at the festival entrance this week.
