Nothing like a good 10 months stuck at home to get creative. Right? Well, if you’re like me, by now you realised that being unable to see the world and being stuck in your own bubble is not exactly good fuel for your creative juices. It helps with focus… but that’s about it.

Marianna Orsho
Marianna is a London-based designer and graphic Artist specialising in branding, typography and illustration. The lady created work for the Spice Girls, Adobe, Adobe MAX, Disneyland Paris, MTV and many others, and has been sharing her work on Creativepool since 2015. Some of my personal favourite pieces from this year include a beautiful representation of Spring and a marvellous set of backgrounds for Adobe Max, the creativity conference.
Mihai Tigleanu
Mihai claims to have “a right hand for detail,” and we couldn’t agree more. His works are incredibly dynamic and beautiful to admire, his portraits strike with realism and attention to detail, and his style is just incredibly hypnotising to take in. Plus, the man runs an Instagram profile called Weekly Graphic News, an interesting way to tell the world about important weekly news with illustrations and visuals.
Luthando Mfabe
Luthando clearly has a lot of fun when he works on his illustrations. His style is peculiar and quirky to say the least, quite unique in its own ways, with bright colours and shapes all over his pieces. And it’s quite fun too!
Alexandra Wong
What’s there to say about Alexandra? An illustrator and graphic designer, specialised in editorial and commercial illustration. She loves working to tight deadlines and produces a number of amazing illustrations from his home in Italy, including a stunning piece to represent Verona.
Jilipollo
Javier Medellin Puyou (this his full name) is quite clearly one of the best illustrators around, and one of the most talented on Creativepool as well. Jilipollo’s style is extremely unique, playing with golds and distorted perspectives to tell amazing stories in captivating pieces. And he’s an Annual 2020 winner too!
Scott Balmer
Colourful, gritty, cheeky and with a pinch of surrealism. It’s quite difficult to describe Scott Balmer’s style. He is a freelance illustrator largely based in the UK, who has made work for numerous clients and publications over the years from different corners of the world. His characters are extremely memorable, sure to cause pleased giggles and smiles on everyone’s face.
Cosmo Mulford
Every time we look at one of Cosmo’s illustrations, we can’t help but spend entire minutes trying to grasp every tiny little details there can be. Much like Jilipollo (and he’s too one of our most exciting illustrators, not by chance), his style is extremely mesmerising, though entirely different from the Mexican illustrator mentioned above. Take a look for yourself.
Oscar Cauda
Oscar Cauda is an Italian illustrator and graphic designer, signing his creations as HeyGraphic. His works are quite different yet feel incredibly homogeneous, with beautiful masterpieces like Sneakers Zoo and Red Bull Pump Track Heart dominating his Creativepool profile.
Studio Morales
Patrick Morales-Lee is known on Creativepool and around the web as Studio Morales. Be it illustration or fine art, he works primarily in pencil and charcoal, always aiming to create something different and leading to stunning portraits and artworks. Clearly well versed in the art of storytelling, Patrick looks to have his works produce a feeling, an emotion to capture the sense of the subject, adding layers and narrative to the piece.
Derek Bacon
Clearly Derek had a lot of fun in his 14 years illustrating covers for the Economist. He is now working freelance through his own business, Derek Bacon Creative, using both digital and traditional media to produce amazing artworks with a clean and realistic style. An amazing artist to wrap up this list, with plenty of works on his profile to get you inspired.
