A time for giving, not receiving: Win a creative project for your charity via JSR Agency

Published by

At this time of year, JSR Agency usually throws a Christmas party or distributes gifts for clients which amounts to the cost of around £10,000.

This year, as the world seeks to implode on itself at every turn, we wanted to take that money and do something a little more worthwhile than getting the creative community pissed.

So, this year we've decided to give the money away in the form of a campaign from one of our photographers, illustrators, animators or content directors to a charity or not-for-profit organisation. We are now accepting nominations on our blog.

Let's get creative

There, you'll find details on how to enter and the terms and conditions, but essentially we'll choose a cause, spend time with the winning organisation and make a strategic and creative plan for a creative approach.

We'll then agree that with the client and commission one of our team to produce it. The chosen image, animation or film will then be free for the client to use throughout 2019.

Now, someone, somewhere is going to accuse us of using this as a cynical marketing and PR exercise. And you know what? Yes, we will PR it. Yes, we will tell people we're doing it. And why not?

It's for charidee

Ultimately, the most important thing is to support an organisation that would otherwise be deprived of an opportunity to tell the world about the important work they do.

We are not doing it for the notoriety, we're doing it because it's a better way to use the money we usually spend on a drunken party on a good cause. If anyone thinks that's cynical, then that's their point of view and they are welcome to it.

But if someone, somewhere, sees what we do and it encourages them to make a change, contribute or donate, then no other opinion matters. It's just a little Christmas creative miracle.

P.S. Thank you Perou for the use of your cheery festive image above.
