How long have you been a Freelancer for?
A year and a half, but with over eight years' experience in total.

Describe your work in one sentence.
Sometimes with a slightly dark edge, though rarely without a sense of humour.

What's the most important thing you've learnt in your line of work?
Be flexible and ready for ANYTHING.

What attracted you to your chosen field?
A lifelong passion for drawing and art.

Tell us about your best project to date.
Working on the exterior and decor for a biker-themed rock bar at this year's Lowlands festival in the Netherlands.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
My skewed take on subjects and attention to detail in bringing images to life.

If you could work on any project for any company/organisation, what would it be and who would it be for?
To work in collaboration with the Japanese artist Rockin' Jelly Bean.

What frustrates you the most about your job?
There's never enough hours in the day.

What pearl of wisdom can you offer to someone thinking about starting out as a freelancer?
Be prepared to work hard. For most people, results won't come easily or quickly but be smart in how you use your time and energy. Try to speak to established creative people, not just illustrators, and see what connections you can form.

If you could have ONE super power, what would it be?
A massive distended brain, full of even more trivia.

What's your favourite bit of kit?
My laptop and all the magic it can do. And a fountain pen for drawing.

Tell us a random fact about yourself.
In a strictly technical sense, I'm a cyborg.

What's your favourite song of all time?
Oh Yeah by Yello.

What is your favourite app?
Robot Unicorn Attack.

iPhone or Blackberry?
My battered old Nokia.

Too Cool for School or too School for Cool?
Too School for Cool.

Facebook or Twitter?
Facebook.

Eat In or eat out?
Out.
