‘Born in Poland, Filip started doodling at an early age inspired by his dad (who, somehow, still wants to have nothing to do with it) and continued on throughout all his education, consequently failing to realize what it is that he could be doing when he's grown up.
After finishing his BA in political science, disillusioned about a possible career as a politician, journalist or a president he moved to London, UK to learn the language, verify general opinion about food and avoid paying his mobile bill...
While here, he picked up pencil again and... the penny finally dropped...
Filip specializes in concept art, character design and illustration'

How long have you been a Freelancer for?
Around 4 years with varied intensity. I work full time, too.

Describe your work in one sentence.
All over the place.

What's the most important thing you've learnt in your line of work?
Talent is not everything – hard work and passion are…

*
What attracted you to your chosen field?
Love of drawing and occasionally making people go: “wow, that's nice!”

Tell us about your best project to date.
Character design for Ed-Belegal. One of the jobs I was hired to do for my style. Almost absolute freedom. I think this is the place all freelancers want to find themselves eventually.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
Absolutely nothing. But if you do happen to like my particular style – possibly plenty.

*
If you could work on any project for any company/organisation, what would it be and who would it be for?
Sony Entertainment – GOD OF WAR.

What frustrates you the most about your job?
I am still, occasionally, falling into a trap of not knowing when to stop. That costs time. Time is precious.

What pearl of wisdom can you offer to someone thinking about starting out as a freelancer?
Stay inspired, stay organized and network.

If you could have ONE super power, what would it be?
Shape-shifting

*
What's your favourite bit of kit?
Sketchbook and pencil.

Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I don't like risotto. Believe me I've tried.

What's your favourite song of all time?
“Where is my mind” by Pixies

What is your favourite app?
Photoshop

*
iPhone or Blackberry?
iPhone

Too Cool for School or too School for Cool?
Too School, I think. I am hardly cool…

Facebook or Twitter?
Real life, preferably, but otherwise Facebook. It has more face to it.

Eat In or eat out?
Depends. I really like cooking.
