Mixed media observations and feelings of life and romance.
What's the most important thing you've learnt in your line of work?
I never stop learning and I am always developing my own skills.
What attracted you to your chosen field?
Definitely not the money but the excitement of creating the unexpected.
What sets you apart from your competitors? Tell us about your best project to date.
My best project to date is winning a commission by Richmond upon Thames borough council to design a series of Christmas cards that were distributed within the borough to commemorate the theme of goodwill, peace and joy to all at Christmas time.
I believe there is a growing similarity between illustrators work and designs. I believe my work is original, unique and adopts a different approach to the norm.
If you could work on any project for any company/organisation, what would it be and who would it be for?
If I could work for any company it would be with animation company Studio AKA on the project Lost and Found based on Oliver Jeffers children's picture book. I love how such a beautiful simple illustrative story turns into a moving short film.
What frustrates you the most about your job?
You never know when you will get your next project.
What pearl of wisdom can you offer to someone thinking about starting out as a freelancer?
Always carry your artwork with you. Whether it is a business card or even your artwork on your phone, as you never know who you might bump into.
If you could have ONE super power, what would it be?
To be able to morph into a mermaid to discover the depths of the sea.
What can a prospective customer expect from you?
Professionalism with an original creative flare.
What's your favourite bit of kit?
My Faber- Castell pitt artist pen. When I don't have my sketchbook with me I have my pen at hand to doodle with, even if it is on receipt paper.

I don't like mushrooms.

Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.
