How long have you been a Freelancer for?
I have been a freelancer for more than a year. I started before I came to the UK to study.

It’s a kaleidoscope that feeds your different tastes.
Who are some of the clients you have worked for?
I have worked for an online retailer and a marketing company on a number of projects.
What's the most important thing you've learned in your line of work?
Create personalities.
What attracted you to your chosen field?
I enjoy thinking and creating innovative ideas and have found the field of design to be an open space to try out a variety of playful possibilities.
Tell us about your best project to date.
Lots of people have said that the characters I created for the Feel Good Drinks brief was the most representative work amongst the projects I have undertaken, and I would agree with that. I always enjoy character design, but this was challenging as I have no experience working in a horror style. Also, the piece was finished in 3D which was another challenge as I have more experience as a 2D illustrator. For the duration of the brief, the most important things that I learnt were to create strong personalities for each of the creatures to successfully overcome the tasks. I am particularly proud of these pieces of work.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
I would say that my illustrative graphic design is a fresh style, and there is no limitation on illustration style.
If you could work on any project for any company/organisation, what would it be and who would it be for?
Music graphics is one of my dream projects that I am really interested in. It is playful and can be approached through different visual expressions, and it has a beautiful way of telling stories. If there was an opportunity, I would love to work on a project that enabled me to spread my strengths into other areas.
What frustrates you the most about your job?
I think it would be to try and illustrate an image from another person's mind.
What pearl of wisdom can you offer to someone thinking about starting out as a freelancer?
You need to have great self-control and the ability to manage time and briefs well.
If you could have ONE super power, what would it be?
Warmth provider. It's really needed to fight against the freezing cold here!
What's your favourite bit of kit?
My laptop.

On a scale of cute to cool I'd definitely put myself nearer to the cool end.
What's your favourite song of all time?
I have many tastes but I prefer indie music. I have recently been listening to Half Moon by Blind Pilot a lot.
What is your favourite app?
Multiple cameras, a great tool for recording things that happen through the day.
