Jo Bird illustrates for Ralph Lauren

Published by

jelly's Jo Bird was recently commissioned to illustrate customised cards at the exclusive launch party of Ralph Lauren’s Spring/Summer collection in Kuwait.

The event, which introduced this season’s Ralph Lauren latest addition to the iconic Ricky Bag collection, the Ricky Drawstring , was held at the Ralph Lauren store at Prestige (largest shopping destination in Kuwait), within The Avenues Mall, in Kuwait. In attendance was Kuwait’s fashion elite, while the event was hosted by top fashion Pan Arab Blogger Nora, aka Confashions.

Confashion had styled a few models with her favourite looks from the Black Label SP15 collection and accessories line. Timeless elegance, chic and glamour were the key words of that evening.

We spoke to Jo about her experience working on such a far-flung and exciting event, and got some behind the scenes snaps…

“I was thrilled to work on this event for Ralph Lauren. The bag and clothing were both such great colours to illustrate and the night went without a hitch. The customers were such a fashionable bunch, which is hardly surprising since most were connections of top Kuwait blogger Nora (@Confashions)."

“The mall and shop itself… WOW. An 800 store marvel, gold clad and marble floored. It put Westfield to shame. What an honour to have the opportunity to work in such a beautiful setting, drawing luxury goods - I could get used to this lifestyle!”
