When did you start out blogging?
We started CreativeMug in November 2011, after blogging on other places around the web for some years.

How did you choose your blog name?
CreativeMug is meant to be an unusual break from ordinary life, with a mug of creativity in your hand, enjoying good contents focused on graphics / visual arts / design & creativity.

CreativeMug is the combination of the two words Creative - related to our contents - and Mug - as a play between Mug and Mag (magazine). As tea lovers & mug collectors Mug has a personal meaning for us.

What is it all about?
CreativeMug is a daily collection of anything we find awesome & inspiring about design, visual art & creativity. We seek to promote both emerging and well known designers creating interesting and unique works.

Why did you start up the blog?
CreativeMug is a shared archive of visual inspirations. All started from our curiosity and passion in finding inspiring works from talented designers and artists and from our firm belief in sharing learning.

What do you do when you're not blogging?
When not blogging, we run our branding & design studio Apple&Pear. When not working, we enjoy ourselves going to art & design events in London, turning our hands dirty while printing some letterpress stuff, taking pictures, listening live music & playing table football.

Besides Elisa loves homemade cakes & bread, and Fabio loves backing cakes & bread for Elisa.

If you could be in one place in the world right now, where would it be?
We just moved to London some months ago, and we really love it. We have still so many things to find out here that we are happy to be right here.

Who or what is your main inspiration?
There are so many source of inspirations, from architecture, design, illustration and photography to everyday life, everyone who makes things with passion and purpose is inspiring. To name one designer we love, Bruno Munari is certainly an inspiration, and his quote "Progress is when things get simpler, not more complicated" is something we always keep in our minds.
