When you think of Monzo, beyond the unmistakable hot coral card the company's meteoric rise springs to mind. The self-professed challenger bank of the future, Monzo aims to make money work for everyone with its innovative model.

The firm, originally Mondo, was founded in 2015 by a small team standing in opposition to brick-and-mortar banks. In February 2016, it set the record for the fastest crowd-funding campaign in history when it raised £1m (US1.3m) in 96 seconds via the Crowdcube investment platform before changing names to Monzo in March 2017.
