*"Heavenly is a branding agency established in 2002. We believe in capturing people's imagination with refreshing brand strategy and iconic creative work. We work the world over. From America and Russia to the Middle East and India. With the biggest of brands to the smallest start ups. We like travelling and we like a healthy mix of clients. We're strategists, writers, designers, art directors and producers. We think about brands from every perspective, from internal culture to advertising, digital to broadcast and print. We make brands that are well rounded."

What do you actually do?
Our range of projects is always surprising and exciting. So luckily, I get to work across all aspects, from speaking with the client to establish what the real aims of the projects are, and how we can help them achieve those aims. To then sitting down with our fantastic strategy team to develop a strategic solution to the brief which then informs the whole visual and verbal aspects of the brands we create. And finally building the world around the brand, how it behaves internally and externally, what it looks like, how it sounds and where it goes. In short, I try and get involved in all of it…

What would you be doing if you weren't doing that?
Travelling around, seeing stuff. If I'm not here I'd like to be in loads of different places

How did you get started in the industry?
I think I was fairly lucky in that I knew I wanted to do this as a job from an early age. So I finished school, went to College, went to University then got a job. It wasn't my dream job but at that point all experience is valuable.

What's your current favourite piece of creative work at the moment?
I really like the recent work on the Post Office, restoring a national treasure.

What do you love about your job?
It's a great way to earn a living, nice people, good fun, and very rewarding when it works.

If you could give one piece of advice for someone starting out, what would it be?
Get out, and look beyond the world of just design or branding. Look at everything.

If you have one Super power what would it be?
Being invisible

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I think I'm already there…

What was your worst job and what did you learn from it?
Washer upper at the Inn on the Park in Chorley. If you don't like it, don't do it.

You have already worked with some amazing brands, who would you like to work with next?
I'd love to work on the NHS brand or the Olympics, something that has a real impact on society.

iPhone or Blackberry?
iPhone

Your favourite app?
Adidas MiCoach

Too Cool for School or too School for Cool?
I'd like to think they weren't mutually exclusive.

Facebook or Twitter?
Twitter.

Eat In or eat out?
Depends who's cooking.

The Brands Pushing Back Against Fast Fashion #SustainabilityMonth

Fashion has always been anathema to me. You could diplomatically refer to my wardrobe as “functional” and I’m unlikely to spend more than a few fleeting seconds deciding what to wear in the morning. I do, however, understand the...
