Creativepool teamed up with Clerkenwell Design Week this year to bring you talks, Q&As and portfolio reviews with esteemed interior designer Shaun Clarkson.
Clerkenwell Design Week is the UK’s leading independent design festival taking place in EC1, the heart and home of design.
Clerkenwell is home to over 60 showrooms, a multitude of creative practices and more architects and designers per square mile than anywhere else on the planet. This cultural hub is the perfect location to host an international festival that celebrates all disciplines of design.
With over 150 events, a series of pop up exhibitions, installations, talks, performances, music and workshops, the festival is a showcase of cutting edge design from some of the biggest names in the industry.
Over the past 2 decades Shaun Clarkson has redefined the hospitality interiors market, pushing new boundaries and creating a new wave of eclectic chic which has become cemented as his signature style.
He is now starring on the Channel 4 series Four Rooms as one of the country's leading dealers and voices on designing interior spaces.
We invited Shaun to join us at Clerkenwell Design Week to talk about the value of interior design on overall business objectives.
He talked to a bustling crowd in the Farmiloe Building, the home of #CDW2013 about his personal experiences building brands and businesses through considered interior design choices.
The talk by Shaun was followed by mini talks, Q&As, portfolio reviews and a pop-up shop in Easton Regal - a salon in the heart of Clerkenwell, with creativity at it's core.
The pop-up shop was a miniature version of the succesfull Pitfield store on Pitfield Street in East London, owned and run by Shaun himself. With 10% off all purchases for the day there were bargains galore to be had.
