My response to the first brief on my degree was a set of 5 illustrated Christmas Cards, complete with custom packaging and branding for a fictitious card design company. The project started out with exploration within my chosen object; old christmas cards. I have to admit my idea was quite ‘out there’ (or so I was told), and my decision to erect a 6ft Christmas Tree at MediaCityUK in October certainly caused some controversy.

Nonetheless, I am incredibly proud of this project. The illustrations were so much fun to create, I even had one of them engraved in wood. Creating the logo and packaging for the fictitious brand ‘Just To Say’ was also great fun, I had the chance to experiment with a new grid-based system (inspired by this book).
