About me

I would like to apply for the role Mid Weight Designer. I believe I have the experience, skill and subject interest to tackle this roll. I am a experienced in designing for print outcomes having produced work for a wide variety of outcomes in a range of sizes. This includes bespoke work, presentation boxes, small format outcomes, large format outcomes and complex artwork set up for cut, crease and a series of overprints. When I approach for print, I take time to consider the final outcomes and the print limitations. This avoids complications further down the line, it means I can consider a creative outcome that takes advantages of the print media. I have minor experience in designing for the web, making interactive PDFs, web suitable documents but I have usually have taken on a supportive role, preparing images, providing layout scamps and directing the web designers in my ideas or the clients needs. I am a quick study and I feel with the correct exposure, I can quickly get to grips with the online field in a more detailed manner.

I would say I am technical and creative in my approach to my work. I take the time to build my artwork properly. I enjoy colour and like to delve into colour theory in print when time allows. Colour management is a minefield and once you have past that, the next challenge is the difference printers can produce. To me, I enjoy the challenge of matching the colour and managing the exceptions. of my clients to get the best results. I am hardworking, prepared to put the hours in and will push to get the results.

Why do I want this job

Looking at the role from a personal perspective, I feel I would fit in well and the business would be of great interest to myself. In my spare time I brew my own beer, enjoy sampling new beers keep track on my UNTAPPD app. Ten more unique beers and I will have reached 500 unqiue beers. I have looked into attempting my own wine making and every Christmas I make up mulled wine for the family. I feel this show I will be interested in the role in more than just design and print. You will find I am fun person, who likes to laugh. You may to judge if I have a belly laugh!
