New Prairie is a trend prediction and mini-range for SS17 Womenswear. Evolving from the commercially popular 70s trend this look steps away from disco and flares and adopts a more carefree, mid-western 'Little House on the Prairie' style. I see this trend mixing rough cowboy elements such as frayed denim inspired by Marques Almeida with mix-and-match ditsy prints perfectly translated from the catwalk for high street consumers. Hints of lilac take over from dusty pink and pops of dirty yellow update the pallet of neutrals and true blues.

Wearable separates can be layered to create a stronger look, for example the Deep-V Denim Shift Dress could be layered on top of the Lace-up Shirt.
