ABOUT
heateam’s how to video guide for flashing SD indicator on Baxi GA Boilers was made to help Baxi Customers who had encountered the flashing symbol on their boilers LCD and didn’t know what it meant.
The Flashing SD indicator on Baxi Ga boilers is simply a reminder to tell you that your boilers service is due. The indicator switches on every 12 months to inform the home owner that their boiler is due it’s annual service. To turn the indicator off home owners would need a gas safe registered engineer to conduct the boilers service.
Ignoring the SD indicator won’t instantly damage your boiler, however homeowners will significantly reduce the boilers life span and void their boilers warranty. They may also find the products performance deteriorate as well to include higher gas bills and longer periods of time waiting for hot water and heating to become available.
This video was designed to firstly inform Baxi GA owners what the flashing SD indicator meant, and what they would need to do in to get it reset. It was also designed to help educate customers why annual boiler servicing is an important requirement off modern day heating appliance’s.
The Baxi GA’s LCD Screen appears dimly lit when being filmed. To combat this a digital combination of animation and motion graphics was used to clearly demonstrate what the audience would see on their boiler screens when the boiler informs them the annual service is due.
Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop was used to create most of the scenes in the video. Adobe After effects was used to animate and create all the motion graphics and effect work.
