About me
1. About me
I am an ambitious, user-centred and business-empathic professional with 12+ years of experience in the digital arena. For more than a decade I have served in several capacities transitioning from design to front-end development to user experience. My exposure to several domains in IT makes me an all-around communicator who can integrate and bring together teams with different skillsets and specialties (and in several cases, competing and diverging views) under the banner of user-centred design.
As a user experience architect I have worked in projects for several major players in diverse industry segments, to name a few: Cisco, The Times, Barclays, HSBC, Sainsbury's Bank, Nike, Sony Ericsson, Royal Mail/Post Office, BSkyB, Humana and NHS Choices.
1.1 Main strengths
• A user experience mind with technical knowledge and development experience. I won't waste time designing solutions that would be outside technical scope as I can understand limitations and am able to negotiate and listen to development teams for advice;
• Before IT I used to be a trained teacher of English as a Foreign Language. Colleagues and stakeholders say I still have the ability to make difficult concepts easy to grasp both via my documents and presentations.
