Talking Freely was developed as an alternative interview, in which I formed an innovative interpretation of the brief by conducting a conversation through drawing, with artist and illustrator, Peony Gent. I made a hand-bound hardback concertina book with an elasticated book closure. The decision to make a concertina book reflects the continuous flow of the conversation.

The conversation followed a set of guidelines, such as, creating the drawings quickly using the non-dominant hand. This was so that the drawings could be produced in a fun way that removes self-judgement of the images and allows the artists to talk freely.
