ABOUT
Commissioned by Beyond Noise magazine and photographed by Cameron McCool, this editorial featuring Sharon Stone required a considered and highly restrained approach to post-production.
Love Retouch was responsible for the final retouching across the series, working to refine and polish the imagery while preserving the authenticity, character and presence that define a compelling portrait. With a subject as instantly recognisable as Sharon Stone, the objective was never to alter or idealise, but to ensure every image felt natural, refined and true to the original photography.
Retouching was approached with a light touch throughout, maintaining the integrity of skin texture, expression and detail while carefully removing distractions that could draw attention away from the portrait itself. Every adjustment was made in service of the image, allowing the strength of the photography and the personality of the subject to remain at the forefront.
Working closely with the visual language established by Cameron McCool, Love Retouch helped shape a final series of portraits that balanced polish with authenticity, ensuring the images retained both their editorial sophistication and their human quality.
The result was a collection of striking portraits that celebrated Sharon Stone's individuality and presence, delivering imagery that felt contemporary, elegant and unmistakably genuine.
