Dear Who It May Concern,
I have years of writing, editing, and research experience, across journalism, creative writing, and copywriting. I've also published and edited my own magazine and written freelance for numerous magazines, business clients, and newspapers. Copywriting includes assignments for aesop and identity for Artfind, an arts consultancy specialising in mediating between China and the West.
Although my degree is in art history, my fashion work includes work for Sam Taylor-Johnson; research for the fashion producer Samantha Gainsbury; and consulting for Chanel.
I have recently left my day job of 11 years. I have a novel coming out in February 2015 and am thinking about how to support myself. I would love to build up my copywriting skills and make myself more marketable. Although I am open and appreciative of any and all opportunities, I would love writing and editing jobs that I can fit around my creative work. Working with you would be perfect.
