ABOUT

AlphaSights only recruit around 0.5% of all applicants who apply for our Associate positions and Graduate Programme every year to ensure we have a team of the most talented and capable young people in the world. Statistically, the best candidates to apply are ones who have been referred to us by existing or former employees and we wanted to utilise that talent stream much more than it has been in the past.

The in-house design team were tasked with coming up with a new campaign idea that could scale and encourage our alumni to refer more of their friends, peers and colleagues to apply for jobs with us. The concept we eventually settled on was an idea based around the old adage that successful people surround themselves with other successful, talented people. We then thought about a person's professional network and how we're all connected to so many people these days which felt like an interesting idea to build upon. Visually we were also inspired by photographic montage effects we'd previously seen, where a single image was created out of hundreds of others. From there it didn't take long to develop a scalable idea that not only looked great, but also featured real-life alumni. This final point helped instal a sense of pride for those featured and we hope will incentivise them to promote AlphaSights to their wider network more enthusiastically than they might otherwise.

The first phase of the campaign was successfully launched in August on our social media channels and with targeted emailing immediately generating an uplift in referrals. We plan to continue adding new alumni to the campaign over the coming months and creating new and engaging static and motion content to keep interest and momentum high throughout the recruiting season.
