ASSEMBLY - Sight Unseen brings the best of the US to London Design Fair 13 June 2017

Last year, London Design Fair put India in the spotlight with its first ever Guest Country Pavillion. This year, all eyes are on America.

After the success of the inaugural Guest Country pavilion This is India last year, London Design Fair is switching the spotlight to the States in September, with Assembly: a special exhibition of the designers, products and ideas currently driving the American design scene. Exhibition curators Jill Singer and Monica Khemsurov – founders of pioneering online design magazine Sight Unseen – are bringing together a spectrum of 13 independent designers from across the US to offer Fair visitors an exclusive insight into America’s resurgent creativity. Exhibitors will include amongst others Steven Haulenbeek, who has harnessed the Chicago snows to create ice-cast bronze; Christopher Stuart, whose work questions the very concept of function; and Fernando Mastrangelo, who transforms commodity materials such as coffee and salt into monumental works of furniture.
