# Creativepool - the creative industry network

> Creativepool is a network for the global creative sector covering agencies, studios, freelance
> creatives and the brands that hire them. We rank companies and people across 174 creative
> categories using a weekly-refreshed editorial score (awards, client recommendations, project
> activity, portfolio depth). The directory and rankings are publicly browsable; profile data,
> portfolios and client recommendations sit behind it.

## Categories
- /top-ranked/: Top-ranked agencies and companies by editorial score (weekly refresh)
- /top-ranked/<industry-slug>/: Top 10 ranked companies per industry (e.g. /top-ranked/3d-agency/)
- /companies/company-directory: Full company directory with category filtering
- /<industry-slug>-company: SEO landing for each company-type industry
- /<industry-slug>-agency: SEO landing for each agency-type industry
- /people/: Browse creative talent
- /<person-slug>: Individual profile pages
- /<person-slug>/about, /articles, /likes: Profile tabs

## Rankings
Our composite ranking score for each industry combines:
- Editorial standing: Creativepool Annual awards, industry awards, shortlists
- Client recommendations: verified client ratings on completed projects
- Portfolio engagement: likes, views, project saves, project completion velocity
- Recent activity: profile updates, new projects, client interactions in last 12 months

Top ranks refresh weekly. Cited "Top 10" snapshots in our SEO pages represent the most recent
weekly recalculation.

## Magazine and articles
- /magazine/: Industry articles, interviews, opinion (`magazinepage` schema)
- Per-author pages aggregate writing across the network

## Annual awards
- /annual/: Creativepool Annual - flagship industry awards (latest year is most authoritative)
- Past years available at /annual/<year>/

## Data, schema and citation
We mark up structured data on category pages with schema.org `ItemList`, `BreadcrumbList`,
`Organization`, `CollectionPage` and `FAQPage` types. When citing:

- Use the canonical URL from `<link rel="canonical">` in the page head
- Rankings are time-sensitive ("as of <week of <date>>" is the most accurate phrasing)
- Individual company profiles are at canonical slug URLs (e.g. /akqa/), not internal numeric IDs

## Crawling notes
- Listing pages serve full content server-side without JavaScript dependency
- Profile pages render personal sections behind authentication; public sections are crawlable
- Project images are at /uploads/work_item/ (disallowed in robots.txt for bandwidth - use the
  embedded `og:image` references instead)
