ABOUT
"The Spot" was developed to address Australia's alarmingly high skin cancer rates, by tackling public complacency. The campaign leveraged the cultural context of outdoor activities and the popular Sculpture by the Sea event, to engage a broad audience with a powerful message about skin cancer prevention and early detection.
The creative challenge was disrupting sun-seeking behaviors and overcoming the perception of skin cancer as a distant threat. The visually arresting 15-meter melanoma sculpture transformed a public space into a platform for health intervention and action.
