We were so excited when we learnt that we would be working with portrait artist, Nicholas Chaundy. Nicholas is a classically trained artist who learnt his trade at the world-renowned Florence Academy of Art, Italy. To say he is talented is an understatement, we are simply in awe of his work.
We were tasked with the welcome challenge of creating a brand identity and website for Nicholas to showcase his outstanding work and to give him a platform on which he could build a name for himself in the UK. We also wanted to compliment the PR campaign running alongside the brand launch.
As with all good branding projects we started with a logo. We used a bespoke font to spell out Nicholas’ name and the imagery that features above the logo is a recreation of how he signs his paintings. This gives the branding personality and a unique look.
Once the logo was agreed, we set about designing a website that would be clean, contemporary and allow Nicholas’ work to shine. We’ve kept the colour palette simple and classic and the typography used throughout the site is also clean and unfussy so as not to detract the eye from the work on show, although this would be a mean feat!
In addition to the website we’ve designed all of Nicholas’ business stationary and, excitingly, we’ve also been heavily involved in the creation of a biographic video that will feature on the website soon.
We’re delighted with the results of this branding project, as is Nicholas, and we look forward to continuing to work with him as he grows his name on the UK and worldwide artistic scene.
