About me
My name is Lily Samantha Donnelly; I was born in London, raised in Cardiff and am now a third year French and Italian student at the University of Bristol, currently on a year abroad and in search of a summer internship (2019). Currently, I am interning as assistant to the Duchess of Palma in the last home of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa (author of The Leopard) at the historical Palazzo Butera 28 (now a guesthouse, museum and event location). Writing is my primary passion and interest, demonstrated by my year abroad blog, numerous articles published in Epigram (UoB's student newspaper) and years of songwriting. Indeed, I am a musician who sings, plays piano, guitar and flute - above all else, I love playing, performing and listening to music. As a languages student, I find communication an invaluable skill and can translate this into a professional context whereby I can work harmoniously in a team or rely on my own initiative to fulfil my own responsibilities. As an outgoing, organising and self-motivated individual, I feel that I am a dedicated intern with a keenness to learn and immerse myself in new environments. Primarily, I am searching for an editorial, content writing or journalism internship.
