JAGUAR / CROWN ARTIST SERIES : GUGU Fashion Designer speaks on her Empowerment
Gugu's collections aim to inspire women to reclaim their voice and unshrink themselves....
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY.
A Note from Creative Director & Director, Producer : Linda Notelovitz
Is there a feminine aesthetic?
Yes we say. If one is speaking to an aesthetic of awareness, of sensory perception
– and the right to hold our places in the world of art and all narratives that stem from
this place.
GHAC owns a platform that can enable the acceleration of Women’s Equality &
Empowerment.
It is through woman-to-woman’s Leadership, collectively through taking action, that
a difference can be made.
Art is an universal language; it can bridge divides and support the understanding of
everyone’s place in the world – freely and fairly.
Art acts as a vessel to share stories authentically and bring awareness to those who
have forgotten how to hear and see.
Art created to raise awareness can work so well. Film as an art form creates a
powerful and lasting emotion that moves the viewer to action. Visual images stick
with us more than just words. Art connects across cultures and engages our
shared values. In an age where language is increasingly made problematic for its
tendency to exclude and isolate, the arts provide us with a universal language that
resonates at a powerful emotional level and communicates to our shared humanity.
