I am currently on secondment at John Lewis' Head Office working as an Online Product Launch Assistant/Copywriter. I write accurate, authoritative and inspiring copy in order to present products clearly to enhance the customer experience and maximise sales. I work to strict daily deadlines, focusing on priority brands within the Fashion Directorate for Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear and Beauty. I align my copy to suit John Lewis' tone of voice and continuously check the website for any grammatical errors. I also use Google Analytics to find out what our customers are searching for and write SEO focused copy to gain more prominence in search engines.
My permanent role is at John Lewis' flagship store working as a Personal stylist. I spent 2.5 years there conducting one on one personal shopping consultations with female/male clients. I was also fully trained in colour and body shape analysis and acted as the press spokesperson for Personal styling.
Exceptional customer service and experience are very important to me. I have worked for the John Lewis Partnership for almost nine years and we are renowned for our exceptional customer service.
At University, I learnt how to write like a journalist by using interview methods and producing feature articles. I studied popular media forms including music and the concept of the celebrity, and I used software packages to design layouts for magazines and websites including Photoshop, Indesign and Dreamweaver.
