About me

In support of my application I would like to make the following points:I am a Graphic Designer with over 14 years experience who is available for work. My strengths are in design for print, including magazine and brochure design, corporate identity, exhibition design and branding. I am an ideas based creative designer, with strong concept generation abilities. I am expert in the use of QuarkXpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Ilustrator and Freehand.I have successfully worked as a freelance Graphic Designer for the last 7 years both in the UK and in France; most recently producing a monthly 148 page glossy fashion/style magazine for a London publisher, and both a Home/Style magazine and an Interior Design magazine for a French publisher. I also worked for a year for a French ex-pat national Newspaper, re-designing both the newspaper and five regional colour supplement magazines. My freelance clients have included WPA Health Insurance and Swallowfield Consumer Products (Wellington). Currently I am both freelancing and working as a teacher in Further Education, teaching A level Graphic Design, although this is only a temporary post.As a qualified teacher, I taught both full-time and part-time for over 12 years at Somerset College of Arts
