ABOUT

This Critical Design project looked at emerging Sensory Augmentation technology, devices that give the user perceptual experiences past what their body is naturally capable of perceiving. Numerous interconnected devices were implanted inside the body that communicated through ultrasonic waves, and transmitted to the users ear. This speculative device allowed the user to 'hear' in real-time the health status of their body.

This project examines the implications of a future where our bodies are merged with technology that can change our perception of the world. Questioning the trend of the Quantified Self and looking at how our behaviours and psychology would change in this future scenario.
