Leo Burnett Manila continues to prove that creative work can be effective, with recognition from AdFest and Festival of Media Asia Pacific for local McDonald’s campaigns “McTollbooth” and “Beat the May Weather.”

During AdFest’s final awards presentation ceremony in Pattaya, Thailand, “Beat the May Weather” picked up a much-coveted Effective Lotus in the Small Budget category.  The McDonald’s dessert campaign on print and social media wittily highlighted McDonald’s desserts in the heat of summer and the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.  Another Leo Burnett Manila campaign, “Lucky Drive” for McDonald’s drive-thru notched two finalist slots in the premier Asian creative show.

Three days later at the Festival of Media Asia Pacific in Singapore, “Beat the May Weather” won again, taking home a Bronze in the inaugural Twitter Live Marketing category.  Capping the festival wins, “McTollbooth” won two Golds for Creative Use of Media and for Best Experiential Campaign. The campaign transformed tollbooths in Manila’s two major expressways into drive-thru booths giving out free breakfast and waiving toll fees.

These recent wins continue a winning streak for Leo Burnett Manila after getting multiple recognition for several campaigns earlier this year from AME Awards for advertising and marketing effectiveness in New York,  the Warc 100 Ranking of  the world’s most effective campaigns and Kidlat Awards, the preeminent local advertising creative show.
