What is Hemophilia B?
Hemophilia B (or Christmas disease) is less common than hemophilia A and results when the person does not have enough clotting factor IX. Although hemophilia B is usually inherited, about one third of cases are caused by a spontaneous mutation in the person’s own genes.

Treatment for hemophilia B has come a long way and is continuing to advance. At a recent Coalition for Hemophilia B symposium, CSL Behring presented information on the potential of gene therapy for people with hemophilia B.

BACKGROUND
Supporting the CSL Behring med affairs team with a symposium at the WFH congress.
This symposium will be held on the final day of the congress - 11th May.

JOB DESCRIPTION
All content will be medically focused, with no product names or branding.
- Produce a theming to be used across all assets to be submitted to WFH congress.
- Symposium to be patient focused with the title 'Patient-focused care in hemophilia B: What does it mean to you?'

TARGET AUDIENCE
The theming will be used at the World Federation of Hemophilia congress.
The symposium will be aimed at HCPs - primarily hematologists but also pediatricians, nurses, physiotherapists, lab scientists and researchers, and patients.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE
This symposium is aiming to:
- Demonstrate the value of patient-focused care for people with hemophilia B at key stages in their treatment journey
- Understand physician and nurse perspectives on SDM within current treatment pathways
-Discuss the future directions in treatment of hemophilia B and how to support HCP-patient conversations regarding potential treatment options.
