Book Design.

Here designed for client Tracks Ltd is a limited edition of 2,000 first time publication of rare and unpublished photos taken behind the scenes, and the inside story during the making of the Magical Mystery Tour. Accompanying the book is a numbered book marker signed by writer and PR to many artists Tony Barrow, also a reprint of the psychedelic invitation ticket to the films fancy dress party. Firstly the idea and inspiration for the cover was taken from a cartoon drawing of The Beatles as magicians/wizards by Bob Gibson which appeared on the inside front cover of the LP, so I picked out the colours from that and created this swirling magic dust feel, along with simple typography and B/W portrait shots of the four, but for some unforeseen reason it was changed by the client last minute much to my disappointment. The inside is a mixture of clean layouts with pattern backgrounds along with vibrant flat block colours throughout.
