Daiichi-Sankyo Symposium:

Final concept rationale:

Ripples of innovation
Daiichi Sankyo’s dedication and forward-thinking approach to the breast cancer treatment landscape are creating ripples in this setting and are paving the way for other ADCs in development.

Symposium overview.

Title:
How ADCs have transformed HER2-positive BC: From technology to new patient subtypes

Objectives are to:
- Provide an overview of the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology, focussing on the rationale for use in breast cancer (BC) treatment, and discuss the potential impact on guidelines.
- Present efficacy and safety data from clinical trials of ADCs in the HER2+ second-line and HER2-low metastatic BC (mBC) settings.
- Increase awareness of the HER2-low BC subtype and the high unmet need in this patient population.
- Provide an overview of upcoming trials in earlier lines of therapy and early BC (eBC).
- Discuss the remaining challenges to be addressed in mBC before ADCs move into the eBC setting.

Benefits of treatment.
Targeted treatment against cancer cells and does not affect normal cells as much. Therefore, patient does not get the side-effects associated with regular chemo-therapy & radio therapy i.e. hair loss and tiredness, although there are some side effects.
It can even be used against stage 4 breast cancer, giving hope to more patients and prolonging life.

–
Concept brief.

What do we need to do?
Develop a creative concept for an unbranded Daiichi-Sankyo symposium that aims to increase awareness of the emerging HER2-low breast cancer subtype, and to highlight the efficacy and safety of T-DXd (ENHERTU) in different settings.

Category context:
Antibody-drug conjugates are a fairly novel type of breast cancer treatment with more targeted efficacy vs older drug types, that have made the field for breast cancer treatment rapidly advance over the past couple of years. Just this year, there has been the recognition of a new subtype (HER2-low), which T-DXd has shown to be effective in. Before this, there were limited options for these patients.

Problems we are solving:
Creating disease awareness of the HER2-low breast cancer subtype, and showcasing the efficacy and safety of T-DXd in treating patients with HER2-positive breast cancer across multiple different settings.

Audience:
HCPs (breast cancer treating physicians, likely to be relatively experienced) – they will be attending the symposium because their interest is in finding the best treatments for their patients – they want to keep up to date with advancements and hear about the latest data to inform their treatment decision-making (in our symposium we will also be presenting data from competitors briefly in order to remain balanced and not just talk about T-DXd).

What do we want the audience to feel?
We want HCPs to feel confident that T-DXd is a suitable, targeted treatment for their patients, and to understand HER2-low as a breast cancer subtype that should also be recognised and treated.

Other key notes:
Unbranded, avoid purple and orange colours (the ENHERTU brand colours), the client has asked for something ‘new and attractive’, to stand out from the crowd. This meeting is effectively a launch event for this brand in Europe. ENHERTU is already approved in Europe in breast cancer and recently, gastric cancer.
