Salon Messina is a very busy hair dressing salon in the heart of Rayleigh in Essex.

I was commissioned by Anthony Jacobson to retouch a variety of hair model shots to enhance their glamour and radiance.

The photographs were taken by Anthony and supplied to me as tiff files. I used Photoshop to do an overall clean up; even out the backgrounds, remove blemishes, soften pores, lines and any wrinkles. I then went on to widen and enlarge the eyes, add eyelashes and give the eyes some extra ping, before I moved on to do any face sculpting I or Anthony thought was necessary and also in some cases, body sculpting. I then adjusted the colours for each image and as the photographs were for a hair dresser the main focus was on the hair, so I masked out the hair to give it some additional sharpness, after a general overall sharpening. Multiple layers, adjustment layers and a variety of masks were used to create the final pieces.

Anthony was incredibly pleased with the final result of the retouching and has used the images for a wide range of marketing and advertising tools to promote his business.
