My FMP is titled ‘Architectexture’ and the outcome will be a Luxury Outerwear collection. The title ‘Architexture’ is the combination of the words ‘Architecture’ and ‘texture’- the idea behind my potential collection is to achieve minimalist, structured and layered outfits with an experimentation of materials and textures which will reflect the modern architecture I am going to look at. The outfits will be made up by delicate, feminine materials and structures and contrasted with very angular structures and sturdy materials layered over the top- this echoes the strong structure of a building to the soft furnishings inside. ‘Fashion is by its nature, ephemeral’ ‘Architecture has more of a monumental, permanent presence’. I would like my collection to go against this. I would like to create a timeless urban collection that uses solidarity to express its permanent existence.
