A concept developed from thinking about my experience of learning Italian at school, which tasks set by teachers were the most useful, and what could have made the experience of learning a language more immersive. The idea here is that news articles and multimedia from the Italian media, about a certain topic or social issue, are presented to the user in a news feed. The user can then view those articles within the app, and tap the text to receive a translation in their native language if they get stuck. New topic feeds can be created and easily updated to keep the content useful and relevant.
