TOWIE take on tampon taboos to reveal #tampontruths for Lil-Lets

Leagas Delaney has brought in cast from The Only Way Is Essex to launch the first TV spot for Lil-Lets in 7 years. The campaign focuses on highlighting the brand’s secret product difference versus the most popular selling tampons on the market. So what better way we thought, to convey this little discussed and taboo subject than get some of TV’s most infamously overt, brash celebs 'just to tell it like it is babes!'

Cue Bobby Norris, Lydia Bright and Ferne McCann...a tray of cocktails, a nightclub cubicle and one blissfully ignorant toilet attendant. Conversations that frankly go too far for either TV spot, even by TOWIE standards, will continue for our enjoyment over the coming months here on the campaign hub where a TOWIE cast member is seen carrying out product demonstrations. 'Oh Bobby, you didn’t…!'

The campaign will run amongst the likes of Desperate Housewives of Atlanta and a host other much loved (yet often denied!) TV gems. Media has been bought by MEC Manchester, who worked closely with ITV to deliver a clever on and offline campaign that will resonate with young women in highly targeted areas. The ads will be supported in key online and social environments which has been developed by friends at Shine Communications.

Mary Young, Marketing Director at Lil-Lets, said of the campaign: “Leagas Delaney have delivered a really different, fun and engaging TV campaign that clearly communicates our product message. We believe the humour of the TOWIE cast members will provide the cut-through needed in such a low interest category and start an open and honest conversation about tampons in general.”
