ABOUT
“May is Here” 30x48 Acrylic bursting with that retro cool fun style! Amy May Interior Architecture and Design did this open residential kitchen. I was inspired by the light, contrast and lines, bringing in the natural wood colors mixed with soft forest green just has to make you smile. Each time my brush hit the canvas I wanted to be outdoors with these colors, looking at the flowers and sunshine. Bold palette knife strokes and defining shapes guide you to the flowery light above demanding to be seen. This was such a fun painting to work on, brightening the darkest of moods and the style reminding me of a simpler time. This painting will be included in the “Abstracts of an Architectural Nature” show at Ryan James Gallery in Kirkland March 22nd.
